Steelers Make Another Splash Signing
The Pittsburgh Steelers just keep making moves.
PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers continue to bulk their roster, this time coming with a cornerback signing. As teams sift through the newly-cut free agents, Pittsburgh decided to make a splash – and their defense gets much better with the move.
Less than 24 hours after the Steelers made a trade of Kendrick Green, and less than 48 hours since they made the trade of Kevin Dotson, the Steelers claimed possibly the highest-profile free agent on the market.

Meanwhile, they left us with some surprises on their 53-man roster. Some saw Zach Gentry being cut, but the offensive and defensive lines had some shake-up to them, and the defense looks a little different than expected. And maybe, just maybe, they aren’t done making moves just yet.

Noah is the Publisher for Inside the Panthers and All Steelers, and is the host of All Steelers Talk. A Scranton native, Noah made his way to the Pittsburgh sports scene in 2017. Now, years later, he’s almost full yinzer.
Stephen Thompson graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communications and political science from Pitt in April 2022 after spending four years as a sports writer and editor at The Pitt News, the University of Pittsburgh’s independent, student-run newspaper. He primarily worked the Pitt men’s basketball beat, and filled in on coverage of football, volleyball, softball, gymnastics and lacrosse, in addition to other sports as needed.
His work at The Pitt News has won awards from the Pennsylvania News Media Association and Associated College Press. During the spring and summer of 2021, Stephen interned for Pittsburgh Sports Now, covering baseball in western Pennsylvania. Hailing from Washington D.C., family ties have cultivated a love of Boston’s professional teams and Pitt athletics, and a fascination with sports in general.
