Jordan Ayew has been massively praised by Roy Hodgson, with the Crystal Palace manager saying he is one of the best signings the club has made.
The attacker recently signed a new contract this week.

It was confirmed by the Eagles that Ayew has signed a new contract, keeping him at the club until 2025 and this was a topic of conversation at Hodgson’s press conference this week.
The Palace manager was chatting ahead of the game against Burnley, and he provided an injury update on some of the players who are doubts.
Speaking in his press conference on Ayew, via Matt Woosnam, Hodgson said:”We made the loan permanent for a small sum of money & he’s given us five further years of quite incredible service. He’s one of the most reliable and consistent players that we have.”
The journalist for The Athletic also mentioned that Hodgson called Ayew “one of the club’s best signings.”

It is no shock to see the Palace manager pile the praise on Ayew as the Ghanian international has been a huge asset for Hodgson in both of his spells at the club.
Ayew doesn’t produce as many goals as we would like to see from a winger, but it is his work off the ball, as well as his work around the middle of the pitch, that has seen him receive such praise. Initially, Ayew joined on loan, but then he signed on a permanent deal in 2019.
He was also massively crucial in the 2019/20 campaign, picking up nine important goals in the Premier League and being the top goal scorer for the Eagles that season.
The 32 year-old is definitely a great asset to have and over the next couple of years he definitely will add depth to the squad, so it is good to see him sign a new deal.
No doubt it is very high praise from Hodgson, and arguably, Ayew has been one of the most consistent players for the Eagles this season.
Hopefully Ayew can produce a few more goals this season as Palace have struggled to score in the Premier League in 2023/24.
