Crystal Palace want to sign ‘extremely fast’ Champions League winner on loan

The latest transfer news suggests that Crystal Palace are interested in signing former Premier League forward Timo Werner.

That is according to reports from 90min.
So, what’s the latest on Crystal Palace and their interest in Timo Werner? Let’s take a look…

What’s the story?

Crystal Palace are looking to bolster their squad over the next couple of transfer windows and they want to strengthen their attacking.

According to reports from 90min, Werner is apparently allow to leave his current club RB Leipzig after he has fallen out of favour at the club.

The forward being allowed to leave has put various Premier League clubs on high alert. Apparently Premier League clubs ‘have been contacted’.

Fulham and Palace are two of these clubs who have been contacted and they are keen to make a move, but only if it is a loan deal. West Ham is also another option.

The German left Chelsea to re-sign for RB Leipzig for around £25m and he would definitely be a very decent signing for Palace, especially on loan.

MORE PALACE STORIES

He is “extremely fast” and despite some rough patches in his career, the Champions League winner has managed 150 goals over the course of his senior career.

A loan move to the Eagles, who have only managed 12 goals in 12 games, could be a move that benefits all parties

With Palace scoring the sixth-least goals in the Premier League, they need a finisher to help them push up the division.

This leaves Odsonne Edouard as our only finisher. He has managed to score five this season which is a good tally, but he definitely needs some help and Werner would be an ideal signing.
