‘It could happen’… ‘Electric’ forward now suggests he could actually sign for Tottenham this summer
Tottenham have been linked with a move to sign Roony Bardghji for months now.
Most recently, after Spurs’ move to sign Antonio Nusa from Club Brugge fell through, reports claimed Ange Postecoglou could try to sign Bardghji.
The 18-year-old is one of the most talented players in Scandinavia at the moment. He is a gem and has a massive future ahead of him.
Speaking about links to Tottenham, Bardghji was asked by Aftonbladet if there’s a chance he could join his fellow Scandinavians Dejan Kulusevski and Lucas Bergvall at Spurs.
The teenager, who plays for Copenhagen in Denmark, replied: “It’s fun to think about.
“You never know, it could happen. Hard to say now.”
Roony Bardghji is having a really good season for Copenhagen, and it’s no surprise that he has been linked with a big move to Tottenham.
The teenager has scored 11 times already this season, averaging a goal every 138 minutes. That’s a better average than Spurs skipper Heung-min Son (144).
Bardghji is a player with massive potential, with Football Talent Scout comparing him to a young Lionel Messi because he’s ‘extremely dangerous on the counter thanks to his electric pace and acceleration’.
The young Swede has opened the door to a move to Tottenham now, and it will be interesting to see if Spurs will follow up on their interest in the coming months.
