The injury expert reacted to the footage shared by the Brazil international as he recovers from his calf setback sustained against Bristol City on 7 January.

He appears to be in the early stages of his rehabilitation as the work is ongoing indoors and not individual training on the pitch.

Speaking exclusively with West Ham Zone, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and a Sports Scientist, said:

“Seems like he’s still in early rehab if he’s only working inside and not on the pitch yet.

“His training return will depend on how he responds to increasing intensity.

“Should be out for five to six weeks before he’s available again.

“Last week of February return to training seems plausible, as things stand.“

Paqueta has been linked with the exit door again but his unavailability until March has scuppered clubs’ plans to sign him.

The 26-year-old has shown no signs of wanting to leave the Hammers, however, and has been one of the star players this season.

He’s scored two goals and provided five assists, playing in a different role due to the lack of quality options on the left wing.

In other West Ham news, David Moyes is now concerned over the temperament of a first-team regular and may decide to axe him after a recent transfer development.
