West Ham make a new £13 million bid to sign Inter Milan ace in the January transfer window

West Ham United have reportedly made a new £13 million bid to sign Inter Milan ace in the January transfer window.

The January transfer window has seen West Ham sign Kalvin Phillips, but David Moyes needs to add a more attack-minded player to his ranks as well.

One particular player who the Hammers have been persistently linked with this month is Inter Milan owned wonderkid Valentin Carboni, with a £12 million bid having been lodged by the East London outfit.

FC Inter News claim that the Hammers have now offered a £13 million for Carboni.

However, there is a very big problem. Inter are demanding a whopping £21 million for the teenager!

There is absolutely no way we’ll be paying anything like that for an 18-year-old who is completely unproven in the Premier League.

That’s not to say that he’s not an elite young talent, because he most definitely is. Signing unpolished gems for a boatload of cash just isn’t the way that Moyes or the owners work though!

Carboni has incredible technique for someone so young and has the potential to go on and become a real star of the game.

However, West Ham won’t be signing the South American starlet in the January transfer window, I’m almost certain of that. That said, I’ll happily be proven wrong!
