Dallas Cowboys Fans React To Concerning Report Regarding Franchise-Altering Star

The Dallas Cowboys were on the short list of NFC contenders figured to reach the Super Bowl in 2023.  Their regular season ended with a third straight 12-win season and the champions of the NFC East.  However, a run in with the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card round ended their season much sooner than many anticipated.

As the Cowboys prepare for the 2024 season, one concerning report has surfaced regarding one of the best players of their team.

Dallas Cowboys Get Concerning Statement Regarding Star Pass Rusher Micah Parsons

Sean Labar was the first one on our site to report this news:

While Parsons comes off as a team-oriented guy and one of the leaders in the Cowboys locker room, one former Dallas WR had harsh words about the All-Pro on a recent podcast appearance.

Parsons has arguably been Dallas’ best player since entering the NFL, but Jesse Holley has serious criticism for the 24-year-old.

Holley is a former Cowboys receiver who played 28 games over the 2010 and 2011 seasons. On a recent episode of Ray Ray’s Podcast, Holley went after Parsons. While the former receiver doesn’t criticize his performances, he believes that Parsons is only out for himself.

“Micah Parsons, to me, is probably the most selfish player on this football team,” Holley said. “One of the reasons that Micah Parsons does not want to play linebacker is it’s too much of a responsibility… Maybe it’s just the youth in him. Micah doesn’t want to study. Micah doesn’t want to focus in, and I truly believe Micah wants to be great for Micah.”

It feels kind of odd for someone who isn’t in the building on a day-to-day basis take such a personal shot at the most elite player on the team.

Anyone that has followed the Dallas Cowboys and Micah Parsons over the past few years knows that the pass rusher isn’t afraid to speak his mind. And while Parsons did drop a response on X, it appears that the 2-time All-Pro is taking the high road.

“Yall just want a reaction outta me it’s not going to work lol ! Im at peace ! Love !” Parsons wrote on January 26.

Cowboys Fans React To The “Selfish” Comment

He is greedy too

This was an amazing breakdown of Micah and his thought process, and I agree with Jesse on this. Micah’s responsibility when all he has to do is pin his ears back and get to the QB? Much easier than playing off ball LBer and diagnosing plays, reading and reacting, but if Micah was…

These are such harsh words from Jesse. My question is, has he seen specific actions from Micah backing up these claims or is this just speculation on his part?

Either way, this is really bad. Bad for Micah if true or bad for Jesse if it’s just unabated bad-mouthing.

I mean, unless he knows Micah personally. How can he assume he doesn’t do that with his Defense already? Theres a lot of assumptions in this statement.
