EXCITED: Neil Critchley really impressed by 29-year-old Nottingham Forest player last night

Blackpool boss Neil Critchley has praised Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos after last night’s game.
The manager was speaking to BBC Radio Lancashire.
So, what did Critchley say about Forest goalkeeper Vlachodimos after last night’s win for the Reds? Let’s take a closer look…
What Neil Critchley said about Forest goalkeeper Vlachodimos
Well, it would seem as though someone appreciated the Greek’s efforts last night – even if perhaps his own fans didn’t!
This was another game where Forest were almost left to rue another goalkeeping error and not for the first time this season.
Vlachodimos could have done better with the second goal that Blackpool scored, choosing to stay on his line instead of coming for the ball.
Critchley gave the 29-year-old praise for his work in the eighth minute of stoppage time at the end of the 90.

When Karomoko Dembele raced through it looked as though Blackpool would nick it, but Forest stopper Vlachodimos narrowed the angle and Orel Mangala cleared the ball away.
Critchley told BBC Radio Lancashire: “He actually did well, I thought the goalkeeper did brilliantly well, he stood up, really patient and the lad cleared it off the line.”
Vlachodimos facing fight for number one jersey
The goalkeeper signed for Forest in the summer, costing £10 million from Benfica.
Since checking in he’s made 6 appearances for the club but he’s going to do well to keep his place at the weekend.
Vlachodimos has saved less than half of the shots he’s faced at Forest this season, according to FBRef.
As a result, Matt Turner will likely regain the gloves in the Premier League this weekend and Vlachodimos faces an anxious wait.
For a seasoned international goalkeeper with Champions League experience, Vlachodimos has perhaps been underwhelming at Forest.
He did, however, do well to narrow the angle for Dembele’s chance last night and for that, he deserves some credit.
