Brown,26, sustained the injury in the first half of the Eagles-New York Giants game and did not return after losing a fumble.
His injury is perceived not to be season-ending, as Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reported after the Week 18 game that Brown’s issue wasn’t serious.
However, Brown was a non-participant at practice all week, and his status going into the playoff game was trending down.
And on Saturday, the team officially ruled Brown out for the Wild Card match.

Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni spoke on the decision to sit Brown out with injury and revealed the receiver “fought like crazy” to try to get healthy enough to play.
“It was going to be a stretch for AJ to play.
“He did everything he possibly could to get himself ready.
“It’s not looking like he’s going to go.

“He fought like crazy to try and do everything he could do.

Brown was the Eagle’s best receiver all season, as he is coming off a dominant 2023-24 campaign.
He finished the regular season with a team-leading 106 receptions for 1,456 yards and seven touchdowns.
His presence will surely be missed in the game on Monday against the Buccaneers, as he lit Tampa Bay up when the two teams faced in Week 3.
Brown had nine catches for 131 yards in the Eagles’ 25-11 September win over the Buccaneers.
The star receiver is not the only player hurt or limited in practice for Philadelphia.
Eagles star quarterback Jalen Hurts was limited in practice all week with a finger injury, although he is expected to play.
The Eagles will travel to Tampa Bay for their Wild Card contest for a special playoff edition on Monday Night Football on ESPN.
