West Ham starting lineup vs Bristol City confirmed

West Ham starting lineup vs Bristol City confirmed as the Hammers look to progress through to the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Bristol City play host to West Ham in the FA Cup third round replay at Ashton Gate tonight, and the winner will face a home tie against either Nottingham Forest or Blackpool.

The FA Cup third round tie is a really important one for Hammers boss David Moyes and his players – the fans are desperate to see a successful domestic cup run.

West Ham are flying in the Premier League right now and we’re also safely through to the last 16 of the Europa League.

If we progress through to the next round of the FA Cup as well, it will be evidence of our undoubted progress as a club.

Tonight’s clash will be an incredibly difficult one though…

West Ham starting lineup vs Bristol City confirmed

Hammers boss Moyes is limited with which starting XI he could name tonight, due to injuries to Jarrod Bowen, Lucas Paqueta and Michail Antonio and Mohammed Kudus and Nayef Aguerd away at AFCON with Ghana and Morocco respectively.

So here’s what Moyes has gone with:

Lukasz Fabianski, Vladimir Coufal, Konstantinos Mavropanos, Kurt Zouma, Aaron Cresswell, Emerson Palmieri, Tomas Soucek, James Ward-Prowse, Said Benrahma, Maxwel Cornet, Danny Ings

It’s great to see Maxwel Cornet being given only his second start of the season tonight.

We are obviously missing all of our key players tonight, so the likes of Benrahma and Cornet need to turn up and put in real performances.

Every single player needs to earn the right to play and match the Bristol City team for their physicality and effort.

The West Ham starting lineup obviously isn’t the strongest we have, but it’s pretty much the best that Moyes had available to him tonight. COYI X
