Jarrod Bowen picked up an injury during the West Ham United vs Bristol City FA Cup clash nine days ago.
There were concerns that West Ham star Jarrod Bowen could be out for quite some time with the injury, and that news came at the worst possible time for David Moyes, with Lucas Paqueta and Michail Antonio injured too and Mohammed Kudus away at AFCON with Ghana.
The Hammers ace was originally expected to be out of action for around 1-2 months, but then recent claims suggested that he actually could only miss 1-2 Premier League games for us.
Bowen has been in absolutely sensational form for us this season, with 14 goals and five assists in 26 games to his name so far (Transfermarkt).

So the news that he might only miss a couple of Premier League games for us was actually a big boost. However, things could be set to get even better for the West Ham fans now.

That is obviously great news for us but I do have one pretty big concern – the fact that Moyes might be rushing Bowen back to action too quickly.
If we had Kudus, Paqueta and Antonio all available for the Sheffield United clash, do you think Moyes would risk Bowen? I doubt it very much.
If Jarrod Bowen is brought back from injury too soon, and he aggravates the problem, he could face months on the sidelines, and that really would ruin our season.
So I guess the message is if he’s 100% fit, then great. However, if there are any doubts whatsoever, then just rest him up. We don’t have another Premier League game until February 1st after all!
Let’s just keep our fingers crossed that Bowen’s return to action is managed properly.
