Declan Rice has sent a message to Conor Coventry after he completed his move from West Ham to Charlton Athletic.
On Friday, January 12, the Hammers made the announcement on their website, ending the 23-year-old academy product’s stay at the London Stadium.
Following his signing with the League One team, the midfielder shared a photo of himself on Instagram wearing an Irons shirt and thanked all of the players for their support. Rice’s decision to get in touch with his former teammate and wish him success as he moves to South London to join Charlton was a thoughtful gesture.
Given that the 24-year-old is only one year older than Coventry, it’s likely that the two played together frequently while they were in the academy.
