Crystal Palace youngster attracting interest from EFL League One side
Crystal Palace left-back Tayo Adaramola is reportedly attracting interest from an EFL League One side ahead of a potential loan move this summer.
The youngster signed his first professional contract with Roy Hodgson’s side in 2020 and has featured for Crystal Palace’s under-18 and under-21 sides.
The youngster struggled on loan at Coventry City and it now seems that a move to the third tier of English football could be on the cards.
According to a report from Alan Nixon’s Patreon, Wigan Athletic are keen on taking the young full-back on loan and are prepared to attempt to sign Tayo Adaramola in January.
The report from Nixon states that the Latics will hand the young defender the game time that he needs to develop and potentially make his way into the Palace first team.
The Republic of Ireland defender has featured for his national side at under-17 level and has featured for the first team before during games against Hartlepool United and Stoke City in the FA Cup back in 2022, but hasn’t featured since.
The left-back is a constant menace down that left side and provided three assists in the Premier League 2 for the Eagles and the potential that the defender has, it does seem like he could be a success at Selhurst Park.
The left-back came into the side under Patrick Viera and has been seen as the next cab off the ranks and the club has had a recent knack of producing brilliant full-backs with Tyrick Mitchell and current Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka being others who have come through.
“It was a really good experience for him,” Vieira said when the defender started against Stoke City. “I think he did some really good stuff. He showed his potential.
It is clear that the defender seemingly has the potential to succeed at Selhurst Park, whether he will receive these chances remains to be seen.
