"Tottenham Striker Search Continues: Will Ivan Toney Be the Missing Piece for Spurs?"

Tottenham have yet to sign an “exceptional” striker, according to Fabrizio Romano

Tottenham have not yet completely replaced Harry Kane.

Yes, they have made signings that have changed their squad and are looking better, but in the same breath they have yet to bring in a ninth that is a guaranteed source of goals.

Of course, finding those types of players is easier said than done, but next year there is one player who will fit the bill – Ivan Toney.

Tottenham have been heavily linked with Toney recently, but Fabrizio Romano told the Here We Go Podcast that Spurs have yet to make formal contact with the player or the club.

No approach from Toney

Romano shared what he knows about the “unusual” attacker. “We have to wait, let’s see what happens. At the moment there are rumors about Tottenham. At the moment there is no official approach. We have Chelsea, they are interested in Ivan Toney. They asked in June-July 2024, but now he has changed agents, so they have to start the conversation again, but the interest is still there, Romano said. Spurs might not go for Toney just yet, but we can’t help but think that in many ways this would be the perfect signing for Tottenham.

The Brentford striker simply has it all. He excels at holding and creating space for his fellow attacking players, while also being dynamite in front of goal.

With the right team, Toney could consistently score 20 goals a season for a team like Tottenham and that kind of strike rate will take Spurs to the next level.

Tottenham would be foolish not to enter this transfer race.
