Tottenham expect to sign star after new talks – Sources

Sources: Tottenham confident over signing Radu Dragusin after new talks
Tottenham are confident they will sign Radu Dragusin this month after new talks – despite his agent pouring cold water on a deal, sources have told Football Insider.
His agent, Florin Manea, claimed this his client does not plan on leaving Genoa in January.
However, it is believed that the centre-back, who is keen on a move to the Premier League, has agreed personal terms with Ange Postecoglou’s side.
Genoa are also willing to let the 21-year-old depart for a permanent transfer as they would like a big January cash windfall – they are not interested in agreeing to a loan or a loan-to-buy deal.
Sources have also told Football Insider that the Serie A side have already rejected a straight loan bid from Spurs.
The Romania international has started all of Genoa’s games in all competitions this season in the middle of the defence.
He has netted two goals in Serie A this season – the game-winning strike in their 1-0 win against Hellas Verona and an equaliser against Inter Milan.
The former Juventus man is highly regarded for his ability to carry the ball out from the back, his physicality and his strong passing ability.
Spurs have been riddled with injuries to first-team defenders this season, most notably losing Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven for lengthy spells.
Postecoglou is keen on defensive cover early in January to cover his weakened backline.
Tottenham sit fifth in the Premier League table after their 3-1 victory over Bournemouth on New Year’s Eve and next face Burnley in the FA Cup on Friday night (5 January).
