Everton could see Arnaut Danjuma depart the club in January as Lyon targets a move but would need his loan at Goodison Park to be terminated.
Everton have enjoyed some excellent form at times this season despite being on a current three-game losing streak.
One player who hasn’t quite been utilised as a key feature under Sean Dyche this season is Arnaut Danjuma.
It isn’t like the Dutchman hasn’t featured at all, but it’s clear that the likes of Dwight McNeil and Jack Harrison are preferred. McNeil has been lauded as sharing qualities with an Everton legend of late while Harrison is also being praised for his recent form.
Danjuma has managed to score twice and tallied up 15 appearances – with just six starts, including three in the league.
This form for Everton has been enough to attract interest from France with a January move being viewed by Lyon.

Lyon targeting a move for Arnaut Danjuma
According to reports in France by Foot Mercato, Lyon is looking towards Danjuma in a bid to ensure they maintain their rise away from the relegation zone.

Lyon are preparing to offer Villareal a deal which would be a loan initially but with an option to buy included, assuming it doesn’t exceed €15 million (£13m).
The French side are believed to only be willing to pay that much and if the Yellow Submarines are playing hardball then a straight loan will be considered.
The one big hurdle which could hinder a move is that Everton have the 26-year-old on loan and therefore for a move to Lyon to transpire a lot of different moving parts and obstacles would need to be overcome.
Should Danjuma leave Everton?
With this deal being murmured as a potential January departure from Everton, it could leave Dyche a man on the wing. Danjuma being recalled by Villareal could see Lewis Dobbin‘s role in the side become even more important.
That being said, Danjuma is likely to make his decision based on which club will give him the best chance at gametime and performing well – which may be at Lyon.
It’s unlikely he displaces McNeil and Harrison under Dyche with both being seriously impressive in Everton’s rise up the table and so if he leaves it wont be the end of the world for Everton.
