Club slap £100m price tag on ‘Rolls Royce’ Newcastle target as Spurs & Man Utd join race

Today there’s been an update from North-East reporter Mark Douglas, with iNews told that Everton will demand a staggering £100m for the defender following interest from Man Utd, Spurs and Borussia Dortmund. The Toffees believe they have a ‘Rolls Royce’ defender destined for the very top and hope to deter any interest with this huge asking price.
It seems we’ll face real competition for Branthwaite should we pursue a deal, although I can’t see us – or anyone for that matter – meeting the reported price tag.
The 6ft 5′ Englishman can play as a left or right-sided centre-back and impressed at left-back in Everton’s Carabao Cup defeat to Fulham last night. He’s also played a big role in their superb run of form since that 10-point deduction, helping them keep four-straight clean sheets in the league.
Everton will demand a £100m fee for Jarrad Branthwaite – with Man Utd and Tottenham among the clubs monitoring the defender.
