It’s claimed that Everton and Burnley are also keen, meaning Sean Dyche will have to battle his former club for Brown’s signature.
Everton would seemingly view Brown as competition for Vitaliy Mykolenko at left back having shown his potential in Belgium.
The competition doesn’t end there though as teams in Serie A and the Bundesliga are also interested in Brown.
A return to England may appeal to the Birmingham-born defender but he has already shown that he is willing to take some surprise moves…
Brown hails from Birmingham but actually came up in the Derby County youth ranks after a spell at West Bromwich Albion.
The 21-year-old was more of a winger at Derby but has carved out success as a left back in recent times.
Brown took a shock decision in 2021, leaving Derby in order to sign for Swiss side Lausanne-Sport – a club owned by Ineos and Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
Brown excelled in Switzerland, bagging five goals and four assists in 43 appearances.
Gent came calling over the summer and Brown jumped at the chance, taking on an important role under Hein Vanhaezebrouck.
Brown has played 18 times for Gent, operating as a left back and even as a centre back at times.
A huge presence at 6ft 3in tall, Brown also has a real turn of pace and appears to have a bright future – either in Belgium or elsewhere.
