Crystal Palace now want to sign 18-goal forward, John Textor may play a part
Crystal Palace are intent on strengthening their attacking options in the January transfer window, and are now reportedly interested in striker Faris Moumbagna.
The forward currently plays for Norweigan side Bodo/Glimt, and has scored 18 times in 33 games for them this year.
Palace have been linked with a number of strikers, including Pablo Solari from River Plate, but it seems that whilst they are keen on an immediate addition, they are prepared to wait in the case of Moumbagna.

A report from Africa Foot has now claimed that Crystal Palace, as well as Premier League side Burnley, are both interested in Moumbagna.
Burnley are keen on signing him as a matter of urgency, whilst Crystal Palace are prepared to wait.
What is interesting, is that French sides Lille and Lyon are also keen on the 23-year-old. Lyon is owned by Crystal Palace part-owner John Textor, and the simultaneous interest from both clubs may indicate that Textor himself is a personal fan of the player.
If both clubs end up moving for the player, it is unclear who would have priority over the signing, but with Lyon bottom of the Ligue 1 table, they may need the player more urgently than Roy Hodgson’s side, who are currently in 13th.
The connection between Textor’s other clubs and Palace is not fully clear, with Palace recently voting in favour of banning loans between clubs under the same ownership groups, despite the benefits they could gain using Textor.
The 1.85m tall striker typically plays through the middle, and has a strong record in both domestic Norweigan football and European competitions.
With 18 goals and seven assists in 33 games this year, he is someone who can help solve Palace’s goalscoring issues, and add extra firepower to the attack.
Given the level of interest in him, it remains to be seen whether Palace will launch a bid, but what is clear is that the club want to add a striker and more goals to the side, and the Cameroon international may be one of the most in-form options available to Palace in January.
