Everton investment news shared by Alan Myers amid Qatar claim

Alan Myers issues response to potential Qatar investment at Everton after Manchester United news

Alan Myers has answered a fan’s question about Qatar potentially investing in Everton after news of Manchester United emerged.

The BBC reported that Qatari banker Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani has withdrawn from the process to buy United.

777 Partners appear to be the next owners of the Toffees but that process has not been completed yet.

Myers wrote on Twitter, “I doubt it. Moshiri was in Qatar during the WC speaking to a good few people.”

Announcements have been made and Farhad Moshiri has publically backed 777 Partners to be the next owners and do well.

While fans will be aware of their shortcomings at previous clubs, they have become sick of having Moshiri in charge.

At this stage, any change will be welcomed by the fans and it does not seem like there will be Qatari owners at the club.

There is a weird lure among fans to want Middle Eastern money due to the impact they’ve had at clubs like Manchester City and Newcastle.

However, under Moshiri, money was not the issue but it was about how and where it was being spent which led them to FFP chaos.

Hopefully, the new owners change the structure of the club and ensure that Everton can live up to their potential.
