Today, Zlatan Ibrahimovic will have his first news conference and Milan will announce that Paulo Fonseca has been appointed as their new coach for a three-year term. Stefano Pioli’s contract was terminated by mutual accord, and the decision to appoint the Portuguese tactician was made weeks ago; nevertheless, confirmation did not come until today.
Fonseca reportedly agreed to a three-year contract until June 2027 as opposed to a two-year agreement with a third-year option. At San Siro, the 51-year-old will make €3 million a season. After spending two years in France with Lille after leaving Roma in 2021, Fonseca is making a comeback to Serie A.
