Liverpool now trailing behind Fulham in race to sign ‘special’ £30m player
Liverpool are reportedly trailing behind Fulham in the race to sign Brazilian midfielder Andre Trindade.
The Fluminese superstar has been strongly linked with a move to Anfield in recent weeks, with Liverpool believed to be the favourites to land Andre in the January window.
However, according to the Evening Standard, Fulham are now the leading club to secure the 22-year-old’s signature, with a £30m deal now in the works between the Cottagers and Fluminese.

Lauded as ‘special’ by Fabrizio Romano, Andre has enjoyed a rollercoaster 12 months having led his side to Copa Libertadores glory as well as winning his first senior call-up for the Brazilian national time.
And a move to the Premier League is now on the horizon for Andre, with Fulham now the most likely destination for the 22-year-old prospect.
Indeed, Liverpool could have been a dream destination for Andre heading into 2024, yet the Reds could now miss out on the midfielder to Fulham, who currently sit 16th in the Premier League standings.

Given how intensely Liverpool have been linked with Andre, missing out on the midfielder to a club like Fulham would be nothing short of an embarrassment for the Reds.
The Brazilian international is easily good enough to play for one of the Premier League’s biggest clubs having made history this year with Fluminense in the Copa Libertadores.
And for Liverpool, losing Andre to Fulham of all clubs will reflect badly on their transfer plans for January, where fans are expecting midfield recruits.
Time is running out for Liverpool to get into gear over Andre, and the Reds can’t afford to waste precious days watching Fulham formulate a plot to bring the midfielder to Craven Cottage in a few weeks time.
