Crystal Palace could now sign Youssoufa Moukoko from Borussia Dortmund in January.

That is according to TEAMtalk.

So, what is the situation involving Youssoufa Moukoko and Crystal Palace? Let’s take a look…

What’s the story?

Well, the Germany international is widely regarded as one of the best talents on the planet.

Moukoko has already won two caps for Germany at the age of 19 – including an appearance at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar – and made his Bundesliga debut just a day after his 16th birthday.

Unfortunately, the teenager has found game time hard to come by under Edin Terzić this season, playing just 130 minutes in the Bundesliga, all coming from the bench.

As a result, a departure could be on the horizon in January, with Crystal Palace mentioned as a potential destination.

TEAMtalk believe Fulham are also an option for the German, who is admired by Liverpool, Chelsea, Newcastle and Real Madrid too.

MORE PALACE STORIES

Of course, some may immediately doubt Crystal Palace’s chances of signing Moukoko when you consider the fact that a few of Europe’s elite clubs are also monitoring his situation.

However, TEAMtalk mention that the Borussia Dortmund No.18 is so hungry for game time, he even believes he could be a success at a smaller side in the Premier League.

Naturally, a loan move seems to be the likelier outcome, although the report also states that a permanent exit from Borussia Dortmund cannot be ruled out, as Moukoko doesn’t see how he fits in under Terzić.

Who is Crystal Palace target Youssoufa Moukoko?

As aforesaid, Moukoko – valued at €50m (£44m) by the CIES Football Observatory – is one of the most precocious young talents around.

Still, many people may not have heard about him, so a comparison to a better known footballer might help.

Interestingly, the Bundesliga’s official website have likened Moukoko to Samuel Eto’o.

The Bundesliga mention that Moukoko possesses a seriously powerful shot, just like the Cameroonian legend did, while he is also capable of causing havoc on his weaker right foot.

Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as a strike force of Ebere Eze, Michael Olise and Moukoko would be a sight to behold at Selhurst Park.
