The Merseyside Derby battle between Everton and Liverpool will undoubtedly continue roaring on for many years to come.
It is the latter who currently hold the bragging rights across the city, having defeated the former in their most recent clash.
Jurgen Klopp’s men ran out 2-0 winners at Anfield in their Premier League meeting last month, with Ashley Young’s red card piling on the misery for the visitors.
And it may just be the case now that the Reds can hand their fierce rivals further pain when it comes to the transfer window.
According to the Scottish Daily Mail [print edition, 14 November, back page], Liverpool are considering a bid to beat Everton to the signature of Leeds United ace Archie Gray.
The newspaper reported that the 17-year-old midfielder, who can also play at right-back, is worth £40million to the Championship club.

The Whites will, of course, be determined to keep hold of a player who has featured heavily under manager Daniel Farke this season, with 17 appearances in all competitions.
But £40million is a lot of money to a second division club, while Gray would perhaps be keen to make the step up and line out for a Premier League side, meaning a transfer could take place in the near future.
It would be a huge blow, however, if the teenager opted to choose Anfield over Goodison Park, although both Merseyside clubs could be left disappointed, with the Scottish Daily Mail adding that Crystal Palace are also keen on the Leeds star.
