Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy, who has been mooted as a target for Tottenham, has admitted that he admires the Premier League.
Guirassy has been one of the most prolific strikers across Europe this season having found the back of the net 14 times in eight Bundesliga matches so far (Transfermarkt).
The 27-year-old is just one goal behind Harry Kane despite playing two fewer games than the England captain (Eurosport), which is why the striker is seemingly turning heads in the Premier League.
TEAMtalk last month that Spurs are one of several English clubs monitoring the Guinea international closely ahead of January, with the outlet also crediting West Ham, Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest, and Fulham with an interest in the player.
It was subsequently revealed by Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg that the centre-forward has a release clause of €20m (£17.4m) in his contract.
Football Insider suggested two weeks ago that Spurs and Fulham are the two clubs who are currently at the front of the queue to snap up Guirassy

The Stuttgart star has now expressed his admiration for the Premier League but insisted that he is focused on doing well for his club.
When asked about the interest from England and his release clause, the striker told The Guardian: “I cannot hide these things – everyone knows the Premier League is one of the most competitive leagues in the world.
“But at this time I don’t close any doors. There are some very big teams in Europe and it’s not focused only on the Premier League.
“At Stuttgart, we have such a good team and everything is possible in football. If we can continue to be humble like we have been so far then we have a good chance.”

One can make the argument that Guirassy is simply having a purple patch at the moment as the striker’s career goal record is not particularly impressive.
That perhaps explains why Europe’s biggest clubs are not seemingly not showing as much interest in the Stuttgart star as they are for someone like Santiago Gimenez.
