Tottenham will be without midfielder Yves Bissouma for their clash against Aston Villa after the international break.

The Mali international has shone for Ange Postecoglou’s side so far this season. Bissouma arrived in North London from Brighton in June 2022.

But Spurs will have to deal with the absence of one of their key players for the match at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday November 26 (kick-off 2pm). The 27-year-old was booked during his side’s 2-1 defeat at Wolves on Saturday, his fifth yellow card of the season which triggers an automatic one-match suspension.

Bissouma’s suspension adds to the growing selection headache for Postecoglou. Influential playmaker James Maddison picked up an ankle injury during the 4-1 defeat to Chelsea, whilst Christian Romero was also shown a straight red which will rule him out against Villa.

Other injury issues for Spurs include striker Richarlison, defender Micky van de Ven, forward Manor Solomon and versatile player Ryan Sessegnon.

Tottenham have lost their last two matches after being unbeaten in the Premier League until their heavy defeat at home to Chelsea on Monday.
