Former Cowboys QB Tony Romo Joins  for Golf Outing in Dallas, Showcasing Political and Athletic Connections”

While his hush money trial continues in New York, former President Donald Trump spent the past weekend golfing with former Dallas Cowboys quarterback and current CBS Sports NFL broadcaster Tony Romo.

On Saturday, a video posted on social media showed Trump and Romo golfing in Dallas. Trump was in town for a speech at a National Rifle Association convention. During the event, Trump confirmed his golf outing with Romo.

“I played golf today with a really good golfer: Tony Romo. Do you know Tony Romo?” Trump said to the cheering crowd. “He may be a better golfer than a football player. Since retiring from the NFL in 2017, Romo has been an enthusiastic golfer, participating in numerous tournaments, including a U.S. Open local qualifier in 2023. He recently competed in the 2024 Invited Celebrity Classic in April. In February, Romo served as an analyst for CBS during Super Bowl 58, alongside play-by-play commentator Jim Nantz.

Trump, an avid golfer, owns several golf courses worldwide through Trump Golf.

Trump’s trial resumed on Monday.
