Eberechi Eze says ‘elite’ £43m Man City player is actually one of the best dribblers in the PL

 

Eberechi Eze has said that Manchester City maestro Bernardo Silva is one of the best dribblers in the Premier League.

 

In an interview with Sky Sports, the Crystal Palace attacker was asked to guess how several players in the league were rated on EA FC 24.

 

When quizzed about Bernardo Silva being a 92-rated dribbler, Eberechi Eze agreed with the rating and complemented this side of his game.

Branded as ‘elite’ by the Guardian, the £43 million (BBC Sport) man has always been credited for being a world-class dribbler.

 

Described as ‘smart’ by Kevin De Bruyne, be it in the middle of the park or on the wing, the Portuguese international has made a habit of weaving in and out of defences.

 

So much so that Eberechi Eze laughed when he was questioned whether Bernardo Silva was rated higher than 83 in terms of his dribbling on EA FC24.

 

“Yeah. Let’s be realistic here. That’s about right.”

 

The Englishman replied to being quizzed about the 29-year-old being one of the Premier League’s best dribblers, saying, “Yeah, 100 per cent.”

Eberechi Eze is spot and even before his time at Manchester City, Bernardo Silva was ripping defenders to shreds at AS Monaco.

 

In the 2021/2022 season, the manner in which the treble-winner ghosted past the entire Liverpool defence and midfield to find a sumptuous pass for Phil Foden is still cherished to this day.

 

The decorated attacker is simply an exceptional dribbler, especially in midfield as his carrying of the ball and ability to wriggle out of tight situations is second to none.

 

But even out wide, as Bernardo Silva showcased against the likes of Bayern Munich and Real Madrid last season, he can leave defenders stuck in the m ud like it’s child’s play.
