Spurs Dominate Suns In First Quarter, San Antonio Led Suns, 39-20

The (2-2) Phoenix Suns were home for the second straight game against the (2-2) San Antonio Spurs. In the first match-up between these two teams the Spurs won, 115-114, after overcoming a double digit deficit in the fourth quarter. Bradley Beal and Devin Booker were not available in that game. Booker was available for this one.

First Quarter
The Spurs carried their momentum over from the fourth quarter of the previous game. The Spurs started the game on a 13-0 run.

The Suns’ offense would finally wake up at the eight minute mark of the quarter as Kevin Durant made a pull-up jumper.

After that Durant jumper broke the slump, the Suns offense would get going but San Antonio also continued to score. The Spurs were up 23-13 with 4:06 left in the quarter. San Antonio would continue to play well and expand their lead to 31-16 with 2:27 left in the quarter.

The Spurs would continue to play well and end the quarter with a lead of 39-20.

Kevin Durant had more than half of the Suns points with 11 in the first quarter.

The Spurs leading scorer was Devin Vassell who also had 11 points. The Spurs were the ones coming in hot in that first quarter as they shot 60% from the floor and 8/13 from three.

After taking a look at what DraftKings had to offer for this Suns and Spurs matchup, we’re switching over to Prize Picks. The Suns and the Spur both hold a 2-2 record heading into tonight’s game. On Halloween night, the Spurs got the best of the Suns in a 115-114 last second win. Tonight however, the Suns will have their super star guard Devin Booker.

Scoring Props
For tonight’s game, I can’t see there being a repeat of what happened the last time these two saw each other. If it wasn’t for a fourth quarter where the suns got outscored 33-19, this game is a 20-point win for Phoenix.

I especially think that Devin Booker will show how impactful he is in a basketball game. I love the over on Booker’s points. Devin Booker has a scoring line set at 28.5. Adding Booker creates so much offense for the Suns. For the time being, without Beal, Devin Booker is the main focal point to the offense. Durant will get his points, but I believe Booker will steal the show.

I also like Jusif Nurkic over 11.5 points scored tonight. On Tuesday night when these two teams saw each other, Nurkic had 12 points against the Spurs. With the amount of offense the Suns will have tonight, I think that opens up a big window for their big man.

I also like Kevin Durant over on his fantasy score set at 44.0. Durant can do so many things at a high level offensively. With having his co-star Devin Booker back, not only can he score at will, but he has a consistent shooter to kick it out to.

To round off our bets for tonight’s Halloween thriller, I like Wemby over 1.5 threes made. Having Kevin Durant on him who matchs up better than most height wise, I think he’ll be forced outside a lot. Plus, we have to face it, Wemby is a lot smaller (thickness wise) than the average NBA center right now. Nurkic is a big dude who plays strong defense inside.
