‘Amazing’ £40m Tottenham target could now be offered a brand new contract
Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher could be set to complete a remarkable turnaround and be offered a new contract at the club.
Gallagher was linked with a move away from Chelsea all summer long. Tottenham were reportedly keen on landing Gallagher before the summer deadline passed. However, in the end, the midfielder remained with the Blues and has since played a key role this season.
And in what would be a big U-turn for Chelsea, TeamTalk now reports that the Blues could nw be set to hand Gallagher a new deal.

TeamTalk reports that Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has been impressed with the resolve and attitude of Gallagher this season.
Pochettino had initially thought his midfield plans would move forward without Gallagher involved as much.
However, it looks like the England man is changing his manager’s mind and there is a new hope that he’ll sign a fresh deal at Stamford Bridge.
Tottenham are known to still be keen on signing Gallagher themselves. Of course, should he sign a new deal, then Spurs’ hopes will effectively be over.

Gallagher looking like a key player now
It’s quite amazing really that some thought Conor Gallagher would simply fall by the wayside at Chelsea.
If anything, the influx of young and inexperienced players has propelled Gallagher into more of a starring role and he’s relishing being one of the main players now.
It would be a big surprise to see Chelsea sell him now. Yes, Spurs might be interested and he’d fit in well with Ange Postecoglou’s outfit.
But right now, he’s key for Chelsea and Pochettino is clearly seeing some value in having him around.
