Summer Transfer Saga: Brighton, Newcastle, and Elite Clubs Compete for Leeds’ Summerville and Sunderland’s Rigg.

Chelsea and Newcastle United are interested in signing the Leeds United player, and Brighton “makes contact” about signing him.
Here, we compile the most recent transfer rumors pertaining to Newcastle United and other teams: Brighton “joins the race” for the Leeds United player
Brighton is the most recent team to be mentioned in connection with a summertime move for Crysencio Summerville, a winger for Leeds United. Summerville had an outstanding season for Daniel Farke’s team in the previous campaign, but his immediate future at Elland Road is in jeopardy given their inability to get promoted back to the Premier League.
Summerville has reportedly drawn long-term attention from Newcastle United, Chelsea, and Liverpool. More recently, West Ham has surfaced as a possible rival for Summerville’s signature. Additionally, the Amex Stadium’s alleged interest in the 21-year-old could present even more competition.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano posted on X about Brighton’s interest in Summerville, saying, “Understand Brighton have made contact to start talks over Crysencio Summerville deal.” Not an easy one, as many clubs are interested, but #BHAFC has begun preliminary discussions to investigate this potential. In recent months, Liverpool and Chelsea have been keeping an eye on him; the race is still open.
Throughout the course of the previous season, Summerville contributed 31 goals across all competitions, scoring 21 and setting up another 10. Meanwhile, Newcastle United is expected to try to add an attacking player this summer, most likely a right-winger.
Sunderland actress qualified for a professional contract Chris Rigg, a midfielder for Sunderland, will soon turn 17 and be able to sign his first professional contract with the team. Last season, Rigg was a regular starter for the Black Cats. However, he has been linked to a transfer away from Wearside, with clubs interested in signing him this summer including Newcastle United.
The adolescent is reportedly the target of Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund in Germany, as well as Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, and others. If a transfer fee can be negotiated, Rigg is free to sign a new contract with another club until he signs one with Sunderland, which he is allegedly delaying until the managerial position at the Stadium of Light is clear. If Rigg were to depart Sunderland at the conclusion of his scholarship agreement and relocate elsewhere, Sunderland would receive compensation through a tribunal.
