Ex-Everton employee shares what he has been told about Goodison appeal, ‘farcical’ claim made

Everton manager Sean Dyche is not happy with his current group of players, according to former Toffees scout Bryan King.

The ex-Goodison Park employee noted that the club were lucky to draw 2-2 with Tottenham earlier this month, while he has also shared his thoughts on the ongoing points deduction appeal.

The Toffees were deducted 10 points by the Premier League earlier this season for breaching financial rules, but are currently appealing that decision.

Speaking to Goodison News, King said: “At the moment, whoever takes over at Everton has got to find an enormous investment, not only in the team, also the new stadium has to be paid for.

“Certainly the manager will want a change of players on the pitch, because he isn’t happy with what he’s got, you can see that.

“They were fortunate to come back against Tottenham. They got at Tottenham, found a weakness in Guglielmo Vicario, dealing with crosses and balls around his feet.
“I spoke to someone who used to be very much involved with Everton, and he said the appeal is a joke, because they’ve done wrong, they have done wrong.

“If they are going to rescind the points deduction, then it’s going to make the Premier League look farcical to be honest.

“It worries me if there will be another points deduction. But all this with yellow cards in the crowd… they’ve got to perform on the pitch, and the reason they are not performing is because of the bad recruitment in the last three years.”
Everton problems endless
The problems for the Toffees on and off the pitch have been endless in recent times, unfortunately with no end in sight.

The issues with the stadium, the owners and the performances of the team, among others, have been a real worry for fans.

They have, however, remained behind their beloved club, with those fans undoubtedly deserving of at least one positive outcome in the very near future.
