Many great players have passed through the roster of these Bulls in these 58 years since their foundation in 1966, contributing in greater or lesser incidence to the successes and failures that have generated a lifetime record of 2,344-2,254. So, below are the 15 best players in Chicago Bulls history.

Chester Walker was a small forward born on February 22, 1940, in the city of Bethlehem, Mississippi and was selected as the 14th pick in the 1962 draft by the Syracuse Nationals. After seven seasons, he was traded to the Bulls where he played his last six seasons (69/70-74/75). In 474 games with the franchise, he averaged 20.6 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. “The Jet” also qualified for the post season the six years he was there, averaging 17.5 points 6.1 rebounds, and 2.0 assists.

Reggie Theus
​Reggie Theus was a guard who played with the Bulls the first six of his 13 seasons in the league, after being selected as the ninth overall pick of the 1978 NBA Draft by Chicago. In 441 games, he left averages of 18.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, 5.6 assists, and 1.3 steals per game, with a 16.7 Player Efficiency Rating, and 31.7 Win Shares.

Norm Van Lier
Point guard and shooting guard Norman Allen Van Lier III is another who belongs to this select group. Born in East Liverpool, Ohio on April 1, 1947, he played seven of his 10 NBA seasons with the Chicago Bulls, making the playoffs five times. He also went to three All-Star Games and was part of the All-Defensive team three times. In the regular season, he recorded 12.2 points, 4.7 rebounds, 6.9 assists, and 1.9 steals per game.

Zachary Lavine, born on March 10, 1995, in Renton, Washington, is a 6-5, 200-pound shooting guard who despite being still active has achieved numbers that already place him among the best players in Chicago Bulls history.

After being selected in the 2014 draft with the 13th pick by the Minnesota Timberwolves, he was traded to the Bulls in 2017, with whom he has averages of 24.5 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game, with a 19.4 Player Efficiency Rating and a 12.2 Value Over Replacement Player.

Derrick Rose
Derrick Rose played with the Chicago Bulls in the first seven seasons of his NBA career. This guy led the rebirth of the team, leading them to five playoffs appearances. And there really was a great improvement under his leadership, but they did not achieve their goals, and he was traded in 2016. He was named Rookie Of The Year in the 2008-09 season, and he was the MVP of the 2010-11 season (youngest player to win the award). In 406 games with the team, he recorded 19.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 6.2 assists per game, with an 18.3 Player Efficiency Rating and 31.4 Win Shares.

Kirk Hinrich
The Chicago Bulls selected Kirk Hinrich with the seventh overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft. There were high expectations for this guard, which may not have been met, but he could still be considered one of the best players in franchise history.

In 11 seasons with the team, he averaged 11.4 points, 5.1 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game. He is currently first in the franchise in three-point field goals (1049) third in assists (3,811) and steals (857), eighth in points (8,536) and 10th in Value Over Replacement Player (13.0).

Jerry Sloan
Jerry Sloan played 10 seasons for the Chicago Bulls, from 1965-66 to 1975-76. He recorded 14.7 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game.

He did not win a championship ring, but led the Bulls to the conference finals in the 1974-75 season when they lost to Rick Barry’s Golden State Warriors. Sloan is fifth in franchise history in points (10,233) and rebounds (5,385) and 10th in Win Shares (48.1).

Bob Love
Bob Love came to the Chicago Bulls in November 1968 from the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for Flynn Robinson. Love played nine seasons in Illinois, averaging 21.3 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. He was a true offensive threat.

He was the Bulls’ top scorer for several years, with 12,623 points, until Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen displaced him, but today he remains in the top three in that department.

Toni Kukoc
Toni Kukoč was an excellent player who played his part in the Chicago Bulls’ second three-peat. The Croatian small forward played seven seasons for the team, averaging 14.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.1 steals per game, with a Player Efficiency Rating of 18.6 and a True Shooting Percentage of .535.

Toni Kukoč ranks in the top 10 in franchise history in assists (1,840), steals (476), Box Plus/Minus (3.6) and VORP (18.3).

Luol Deng
Luol Deng was selected by the Phoenix Suns with the seventh overall pick of the 2004 NBA Draft, but he was traded to the Chicago Bulls before making his debut. Deng would end up becoming one of the best to ever wear a Bulls uniform.
