“Roma’s Revamp Under De Rossi: Middle Eastern Clubs Eye Houssem Aouar”
Roma are aiming to rejuvenate their project under Daniele De Rossi and have received inquiries from two Middle Eastern clubs regarding Houssem Aouar.
The Giallorossi recently secured a new three-year contract for De Rossi, enabling him to start planning for the 2024-25 season. He and sporting director Florent Ghisolfi have already begun preparing for the transfer market.
Roma have started offloading surplus players, including selling Andrea Belotti to Como for €4.5 million plus add-ons. Next on the list for potential departures are Rick Karsdorp, Chris Smalling, Zeki Celik, Edoardo Bove, and Nicola Zalewski.
Two Clubs Interested in Aouar,According to today’s Gazzetta dello Sport, a Saudi Arabian club and Qatari side Al Sadd have shown interest in Aouar and have contacted Roma. Nice has also initiated talks for the midfielder.
The Giallorossi hope to sell the 25-year-old for at least €8-10 million, aiming to make a profit on a player who failed to meet expectations in Rome. This season, he played just 1180 minutes across 25 matches for the club.
