Serie A: Osimhen has decided to dump Napoli – Striker’s friend reveals
Victor Osimhen now wants to leave Napoli as soon as possible.
This is according to his friend and journalist, Oma Akatugba, who said the striker is looking to leave the Italian side.
Reports in Europe suggest that Chelsea and Arsenal are currently monitoring the player’s situation.
DAILY POST recalls that problem started after the club made a mockery of Osimhen on social media.
The club mocked Osimhen, their highest goalscorer last season, on Tik Tok after he missed a crucial penalty.
The 24-year-old netted 31 goals and made five assists in 39 games for the club last season, helping them claim the Serie A title.
It all appears that the Nigerian decided to leave the club, having deleted all pictures of him in a Napoli kit on Instagram.
Akatugba said that the 24-year-old is now keen on leaving, feeling disrespected.
“It’s incredible that your club’s official account makes fun of you for a missed penalty,” Akatugba told Sport Mediaset.
“Now what are the consequences? That Napoli will lose Victor Osimhen.
“He will not renew his contract and will want to leave as soon as possible.
“I say this as a journalist, I don’t speak for him; I only say what is inevitable. Osimhen will leave as soon as possible. No team makes fun of its best player.
“I don’t believe that we are talking about racism and I don’t believe that Napoli are, but it is a shame, unacceptable, a great lack of respect, ridiculous, and it is a gross mistake.
“We are talking about the best striker in Italy, candidate for the Ballon d’Or and the best player in Serie A.”
