Clinton Morrison has stated that Destiny Udogie has been ‘outstanding’ for Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur this season.

The 20-year-old joined Tottenham last summer from Udinese, but was loaned straight back to the Italian club.

That has resulted in the all-action left-back going under the radar during the early stages of the new Premier League season, with Morrison adding that ’no-one knew about him’, as he told Soccer Saturday on Sky Sport

Whether or not people knew about Destiny Udogie depends on the volume of football you watch and follow because he has always been a top talent coming through in Italy.

But, one thing is for sure, now that the recently-capped Italy star is on the Premier League stage, his name is now in bigger and brighter lights.

As a result, he is getting plaudits for his performances as Ange Postecoglou’s side sit top of the Premier League table.

“Another player I would mention who has been outstanding is Udogie, the left-back,” said Morrison.

“No-one knew about Udogie. That was a problem position for Tottenham and he has come in, at a young age, and done well.”

The one-time Fulham wonderkid joined Spurs in 2019 in the hope that he would sparkle and become one of the best players in the Premier League.

But it has been far from it, with injuries just wrecking his progression, as he continues to make a comeback from his latest injury setback.

In previous times, when he has returned, he has pretty much earned his spot in the XI back, but not this time around because Udogie has not made that position his own.
