But ahead of the game against Arsenal the state of Rush Green is no laughing matter because it has actually impacted West Ham’s preparations.

West Ham welcome Arsenal to the London Stadium in what is a massive Premier League clash on Sunday afternoon.
The game is big for West Ham’s top six hopes and vital for Arsenal’s title chances.
But instead of working on their game plan within the privacy and sanctity of their own training base, the Hammers have been forced to train at the London Stadium ahead of the match.
Life’s a pitch for Hammers boss
In his pre-Arsenal press conference, the Hammers boss was asked why he had moved training to the stadium for the Gunners clash.
And the Scot revealed the training ground pitches weren’t in a good enough condition after the recent rainy weather.
“We just felt with the weather, we weren’t convinced, with the weather, the pitches weren’t maybe quite as good as we’d like,” Moyes said.
“So we just felt there was a chance that we should come here, so we done that today.”
West Ham’s training ground has been a constant source of embarrassment for supporters in comparison to other clubs. So imagine how the players feel?
Owners must invest in overhaul in near future
At Chadwell Heath players who complained were famously told by long-serving club staff: ‘It was good enough for Bobby Moore’.
Moyes has spoken in the past about wanting the Hammers to use some of the money invested by Czech billionaire co-owner Daniel Kretinsky to improve the training ground.
At some point in the near future the club’s owners must give West Ham the modern, state-of-the-art training complex befitting a top class Premier League side.
