‘That’s madness’ – Manchester United legend Gary Neville reacts to Jurgen Klopp replay claim

Gary Neville hasn’t held back in his criticism of Jurgen Klopp’s latest VAR comments.
The Liverpool manager’s freshest remarks on an incorrectly disallowed goal against Tottenham have seen him suggest the match should be replayed.
The PGMOL have admitted they made a serious mistake by ruling Diaz’s goal offside
Klopp’s replay comments haven’t gone down well
That comes after the Professional Game Match Officials Limited [PGMOL] released audio that showed an almighty blunder for Luis Diaz’s opener, in what would go on to be a 2-1 Spurs win.
Speaking post-match, Klopp remarked: “I’ve never seen a game like this with the most unfair circumstances,” and he had Neville’s backing.
But the Manchester United legend has now changed his tune after Klopp said: “I think the only outcome should be a replay. That’s how it is.
“The argument against that is then everyone will ask for it. A replay would be the right thing.”
Responding to the German’s pre-match press conference ahead of their Europa League clash with Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, Neville wasn’t happy.
“Can’t believe how Liverpool have grabbed defeat from victory in their handling of this!” he wrote. “They were wronged by a shocking mistake. End of!”
The Sky Sports pundit was also reacting to a club statement in which Liverpool said: “We will explore the range of options available, given the clear need for escalation and resolution.”
When asked why he had changed his views by one follower Neville responded: “Because of Liverpool’s statement escalating it, mentioning integrity and exploring options. Now we’ve seen they want a replay! That’s madness.”
He even had time to bite back at one fan accusing him of bias by sarcastically writing: “Yeah I never criticise United.”
