Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp holds press conference ahead of Europa League clash against USG with injury news, VAR audio from Tottenham game and PGMOL set to be on agenda
Jurgen Klopp will face the media at 1.15pm today and we will bring you live updates here from his press conference ahead of Liverpool’s Europa League clash against Royale Union Saint-Gilloise.
The action against the Belgian opponents takes place at Anfield, in an 8pm kick off on Thursday evening. But there is plenty more on the agenda today.
Klopp will undoubtedly be asked for futher takes on the VAR and PGMOL fallout after Luis Diaz’s goal was wrongly ruled out against Tottenham Hotspur, in a match that eventually ended in 2-1 defeat for the Reds at the weekend. The audio of the incident has now been released – full transcript here – and immediate VAR changes have been confirmed.
There will also be injury and squad news from the manager, with Liverpool expected to field something of a second string side against USG. The Europa fixture comes ahead of a tough Premier League match away to Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday afternoon.
Trent Alexander-Arnold will join Klopp to take questions. Stay tuned for all the latest quotes and updates as we get them – with Ian Doyle and Theo Squires at the press conference and Connor O’Neill back at ECHO HQ in the city centre.
