Shockingly; Pundit lauds Liverpool player who didn’t stop running vs Tottenham
John Aldridge has praised Mohamed Salah’s work-rate for Liverpool in their 2-1 loss to Tottenham this weekend.
Writing for the Sunday World, the pundit lauded the 31-year-old winger’s display for the Reds after going down to nine men as Curtis Jones and Diogo Jota were sent off for Liverpool.
Salah failed to get on the scoresheet but was again at his creative and attacking best in north London, a game that has since been shrouded in controversy.
Despite the sending-offs, Salah’s performance was another impressive one for Liverpool, and Aldridge was impressed with what he saw from the Egyptian forward.
Aldridge said: “After Jones was sent off last night, you still felt Liverpool had a goal in them on the breakaway, with Salah working his socks off and giving the Spurs defence plenty to worry about.

“Liverpool need to brush off this defeat at Spurs as a one-off because I really like what I see from this gritty, talented team.”

Salah’s fitness has never better as the forward gave it his all against Tottenham despite having to do the work of two extra players for Liverpool.
Yet the forward himself will be annoyed that he failed to get on the scoresheet, with Salah aware that there were chances in the match to win it for the Reds.
Indeed, Salah has been sensational this season, and there’s nothing more the winger couldn’t have done more than he did in what was a game to forget for Liverpool.
