West Ham now have three world-class players, Moyes has an elite team in the making

David Moyes has assembled the best West Ham United squad I have seen over the past few decades.

West Ham manager David Moyes made a succession of superb signings in the summer transfer window.

Many fans and pundits alike predicted that the Hammers would struggle after Declan Rice left to join Arsenal in the summer.

However, that couldn’t be further away from reality. Edson Alvarez and James Ward-Prowse have more than made up for Rice’s exit. I reckon we’re actually a better team on the whole now.

And the thing that makes this team really special is the fact that we have numerous match-winners as well now…

The Hammers now have three world-class players in my opinion – Jarrod Bowen, Lucas Paqueta and Mohammed Kudus.

Bowen, 26, has been on fire this season, with five goals and an assist in seven games in all competitions so far (Transfermarkt). He has definitely raised his levels this season and he now looks like the complete player.

Meanwhile, Paqueta has reached new heights this term as well. The Brazilian is our talisman and the way in which he retains possession when we’re under the cosh, whilst always looking to make things happen makes such a huge difference for us both defensively and inside the final third.

Finally, Mohammed Kudus looks like an unbelievable player, despite the fact that we haven’t seen much of him in the Premier League yet.

His power and pace combined with an impeccable touch and supreme technical ability makes him a very special player indeed. It’s incredible that we actually managed to sign him in the first place!

When the Ghanian starts linking up with the Brazilian and the Englishman on a regular basis, the Hammers fans will be in for a real treat.

David Moyes is building something very special at West Ham United, and I for one cannot wait to see what the immediate future holds for us.
