Van de Ven joined Tottenham from VfL Wolfsburg in the summer transfer window.
He is just 22 now.
So, you would have been forgiven to think that the Dutchman would take a while to get used to the Premier League.

Merson said about van de Ven on Sky Sports News (1:40pm, September 30, 2023): “When you watch him at 22, he is quite experienced, isn’t he?
“He is very experienced. He doesn’t dive in. For a young kid, he looks a very intelligent footballer.”

I believe that Micky van de Ven is a gem of a player and Tottenham Hotspur are a better team with him in it.
The Dutchman is very good on the ball, makes the right challenges at the right time, and is very mature.
Now, of course, playing alongside Cristian Romero at the back does help, but we have to admire Van de Ven for the way he has been so good so far this season.
Tottenham are aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season.
