Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has emerged as a target for Juventus, who are looking to pounce on his availability in the January transfer market, Corriere dello Sport reports.
The 28-year-old has been on the fringes at Spurs since Ange Postecoglou arrived at the North London club, and the Serie A giants could offer the Dane an escape route in January.
Hojbjerg has made five Premier League appearances this season, but his only start of the 2023/24 campaign came in Tottenham’s Carabao Cup second round defeat to Fulham.
Postecoglou has preferred a midfield duo of Pape Matar Sarr and Yves Bissouma since he arrived at the club, while Oliver Skipp has sometimes been given the nod over Hojbjerg.
In a recent interview, the Denmark international refused to give up on his Tottenham career, insisting he will remain at the club and fight for his place in the starting line-up.
However, if his situation doesn’t improve before the winter market arrives, he could be looking for a way out, and Juventus will be waiting to pounce.
Hojbjerg was a target for Juventus in the summer, and the Italians tried to execute a swap deal that could have seen ex-Liverpool flop Arthur Melo move in the other direction, but the transfer did not materialise.

Coupled with his injury problems, Declan Rice’s summer arrival has pushed the Ghanaian midfielder below the pecking order, and Juventus could use that to their advantage in January.
