Emmanuel Adebayor is demanding Tottenham honour his contract.
Tottenham striker Adebayor’s current £105,000-a-week deal expires in 2016 and has told Spurs he will not take a pay cut to move to another club.
It leaves Spurs with a major financial dilemma over Adebayor, who has 16 months left at White Hart Lane.
Spurs are facing the prospect of having to subsidise the final year of his contract if they want to ship him out in the next transfer window.

Tottenham offered Adebayor up for loan during January but Spurs chairman Daniel Levy blocked a potential move to West Ham and refused to subsidise his wages to their bitter rivals.
Queens Park Rangers and Stoke were also interested but Adebayor did not want to go there and Spurs have been left with the misfit striker at least until the summer.
They may be willing to cut their losses but Adebayor – who turned down more lucrative moves to Qatar to stay at Spurs – may struggle to find another Premier League to match his current earnings.
Tottenham recently paid up former left back Benoit Assou Ekotto’s contract to get him off the books.
