Leeds United boss Daniel Farke will be forced into a defensive change, following the injury to loanee Joe Rodon, according to a report from Leeds Live.
The Welshman suffered a suspension during Leeds’ Championship clash with Hull City as the club looks to try and pick up their first home league victory of the 2023/24 season.
Following Joe Rodon’s suspension, manager Daniel Farke appears to have been left with a straight decision between options at the back ahead of their clash against Watford on Saturday.
Young defender Charlie Cresswell has been Daniel Farke’s preferred choice in recent matches, but the side also have the option of Scottish defender Liam Cooper if a more experienced figure is preferred.
Search for a home win continues
Leeds United have improved their form of late, remaining unbeaten in their last six games and climbing to ninth in the Championship, ahead of Saturday’s clash with Watford.
Daniel Farke’s men have won twice so far this season but both victories were away from home against Ipswich Town and Millwall as well as four draws. Their only defeat fell against Birmingham City courtesy of a late penalty.
Any other changes?
Leeds United are expected to continue with the midfield partnership of Ethan Ampadu and Archie Gray for Saturday’s clash with Watford, leaving the likes of Glen Kamara as an option off the bench.
Gnoto has suffered an injury but it remains to be seen as to how serious that is. Similarly, a tough evening for Welshman Dan James has left his starting position in trouble.
Leeds United have had a massive improvement over the last few weeks and a first league win at home is right around the corner.
However, Rodon will be a loss this weekend and it will be important that either Cooper or Cresswell make the step up against Watford.
