Tottenham Hotspur head coach Ange Postecoglou has said that Rodrigo Bentancur is desperate to play for the team.

Bentancur is injured at the moment.
Ange Postecoglou on Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur
The Uruguay international midfielder has been on the sidelines for Tottenham since February due to a serious knee injury.
Although Bentancur is unlikely to start playing anytime soon, Postecoglou has said that the former Juventus midfielder is desperate to help the Spurs team.
Postecoglou said about Bentancur: “A couple of weeks ago he came barging into my room wanting to start in the team.
“Rehab — talk to any player — that’s a tough thing. It’s not that you have to do the work. It’s the solitary element of it, where you’re not with the group.
“Just having him do the warm-ups and him being involved, he was buzzing yesterday. Then he was fairly dejected when we pulled him out after the warm-up. It’s good.
“It’s fair to say, he’s still got a fair bit of work to do. But great to have him involved, and I guess that just encourages him a bit more. It’s great to see.”
Rodrigo Bentancur a big player for Tottenham Hotspur
In our view, Rodrigo Bentancur is a big player for Tottenham Hotspur and will flourish under head coach Ange Postecoglou.
Bentancur has been one of the best players for Spurs since his move from Juventus in 2022.
The Uruguay international is a very dynamic player who can impose himself in the middle of the park and make Tottenham stronger and more solid.
While Tottenham are doing well without Bentancur, once he returns, the North London club will get even better.
It will not be easy for Bentancur to get straight into the starting lineup, though.
Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr are doing well for Spurs in the middle of the park at the moment.
