Ange Postecoglou ‘confirms’ Hugo Lloris decision amid Gareth Bale Arsenal jibe

All the latest Tottenham news including updates on Ange Postecoglou’s Premier League squad, Gareth Bale’s jibe at Arsenal and Richarlison
Huge Lloris decision confirmed
Tottenham’s 25-man squad for the coming season has been submitted to the Premier League and goalkeeper and former captain Hugo Lloris has been included by Ange Postecoglou.
The new Spurs boss had said that Lloris, who publicly declared his desire for a new challenge after last season, was unlikely to be registered but that has not proved to be the case with the World Cup winner having been unable at this point to find a new club.
His replacement, Guglielmo Vicario, has started life in north London on a high with Fraser Forster returning to understudy duties following his brief spell in the team for the latter half of the campaign.
Bale Arsenal jibe
Gareth Bale has backed new Tottenham Hotspur signing Brennan Johnson to hit the ground running following his £47.5million deadline day move from Nottingham Forest.
The former Spurs man certainly did not share the same enthusiasm as ex-Arsenal man Aaron Ramsdale who joked that he wished Johnson hadn’t joined Spurs. “I wish it weren’t to Tottenham,” Ramsey, who plays with Johnson for Wales, said.
And Bale has now given his response to that playful claim from Ramsey with a dig back at the Gunners.
Brave Richarlison admission
Richarlison has admitted that off-the-field issues have impacted him and that he will seek help on his return to Tottenham.
The Brazilian signed for Spurs just over a year ago in a £60million deal from Everton but so far has just one Premier League goal to his name for the north London side. He has been struggling for form and confidence although he does have the backing of new boss Ange Postecoglou as well as his national team coach Fernando Diniz.
Following Brazil’s 1-0 World Cup qualifier win in Peru, with Richarlison having a headed effort ruled out for offside, the 26-year-old opened up on the issues that have been impacting him off the pitch.
