Tottenham player expected to leave as soon as Luka Vuskovic signs

Tottenham Hotspur are set to sign Luka Vuskovic and the deal could pave the way for Ivan Perisic to head in the other direction.
Hajduk Split may now be able to bring Ivan Perisic back to the club thanks to Tottenham Hotspur moving for Luka Vuskovic.
That is according to Tportal in Croatia, who claim that Vuskovic to Tottenham ‘definitely’ opens the door for Perisic to head the other way.
It’s stated that the fee paid by Tottenham – still unclear at the moment win terms of an exact figure – is ‘very important’ to Hajduk.
That’s because the Croatian side can then move to sign Spurs winger Perisic with the move becoming ‘increasingly realistic’.
The report adds that Perisic is likely to become a Hajduk player in the first days of the January transfer window, heading back to Croatia as part of the Vuskovic deal.
Ivan Perisic potentially set for emotional Hajduk Split return
A move back to Hajduk has been rumoured for a while now.
Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio reported in July that Perisic was poised to leave Tottenham and rejoin the Croatian side.
That never materialised but Hajduk have been fairly public with their interest.
Hajduk sporting director Mindaugas Nikolicius indicated in July that the club was monitoring Perisic’s situation and claimed that he wants to play for Hajduk.
That’s no huge surprise; Perisic was born in Split and supported Hajduk as a kid, even featuring in the club’s youth ranks.
Perisic has become a huge success story, turning out for the likes of Club Brugge, Borussia Dortmund, Wolfsburg, Inter Milan, Bayern Munich and now Spurs.
An emotional homecoming certainly makes sense and it looks like Tottenham have now paved the way for a deal.
Tottenham landing a wonderkid in Luka Vuskovic
Offloading a 34-year-old in exchange for a 16-year-old wonderkid sounds like pretty good business for Tottenham.
Vuskovic has already made a handful of first-team appearances for Hajduk and has emerged as a top young talent in Croatia.
The 6ft 4in defender is being backed for a huge future and will be able to join up with Tottenham from 2025, when he turns 18.
Vuskovic hails from Split just like Perisic and is now ready to make his first steps away from Croatia too.
Vuskovic may well become a star with Tottenham, but nobody would be surprised if he also ended his career with Hajduk too.
