Journalist Dean Jones has shared what he knows about Ange Postecoglou’s training methods, and it seems the Tottenham Hotspur squad are firmly behind their new manager as they chase success this season.
We are now three months into Ange Postecoglou‘s reign as Spurs boss, and the Australian has had an overwhelmingly positive impact at the club so far.
Three wins and a draw in the first four games of the season have helped Spurs head into the international break in second place in the Premier League.
Performances on the pitch have been vastly improved compared to the dour displays of last season. The overly-defensive methods of former boss Antonio Conte are a distant memory now, with Postecoglou’s attacking football pleasing the fans.
Postecoglou has previously spoken to Football.London about how important the fans are to the journey his side are on right now. The 58-year-old also mentioned how his team will ‘work hard’ in training to achieve results on the pitch.

Postecoglou’s training is intense at Tottenham
And working hard they are, if Dean Jones’ assessment of the current approach to training is correct. The journalist told GiveMeSport what he has heard about Postecoglou’s methods behind the scenes.
He said: “The sessions across pre-season were gruelling and remain intense now, sources say.
“Spurs are determined they can make a mark on the top four this season and their early performances are a reflection of those first few weeks that Postecoglou imposed his personality on the squad. Also, the high standards and dedication this squad has towards matching their new manager’s dreams.”
