Tottenham Hotspur are considering a late move to sign Bournemouth defender Lloyd Kelly with Eric Dier potentially on offer the other way.
Bournemouth ace Lloyd Kelly is being targeted by Tottenham Hotspur as the transfer deadline draws ever closer.
That is according to Fabrizio Romano, who claims that Tottenham are now ‘considering’ a possible move to sign Kelly.
It’s stated that there is nothing concrete just yet and no offer on the table from Tottenham.
Spurs ultimate need some players to leave before bringing new faces to North London.
Tottenham want Kelly though and may even offer unwanted defender Eric Dier to Bournemouth as part of the deal.
Bournemouth would also want to replace Kelly and finding somebody at such short notice is, of course, not easy.
That may make Dier appealing to Bournemouth as he can offer an immediate replacement, but it’s unclear whether the Cherries would be interested.

We can understand why Tottenham are interested in Kelly.
Spurs had been targeting a deal for Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo in an attempt to land a homegrown defender.
Adarabioyo prefers a move to Monaco though and Spurs could now turn to Kelly.
The 24-year-old cost Bournemouth £13million from Bristol City back in 2019 and now has more than 100 appearances for the Cherries to his name.
Kelly – hailed as ‘outstanding’ by his former boss Eddie Howe – is a naturally left-footed defender, which is very popular in the modern game, and previously served as Bournemouth captain.
Kelly ticks the boxes for Tottenham but there is a lot of work to do.
Spurs would then be able to focus on their own plans, which seem to be signing homegrown players in Kelly, Conor Gallagher and Brennan Johnson.
There isn’t long to go now and Tottenham need to get moving if they are to achieve all of this business – both incoming and outgoing.
